Travel Journal: Palm Springs
Flocked to the Palm Springs desert—where the sun shines over 350 days a year—to recuperate from the madness of Hollywood and for a little R&R before a hectic work schedule. The destination? Le Parker Meridien Palm Springs.
Le Parker Meridien is a fabulous hotel with an iconic brise-soleil facade (pictured below) located on 13 acres of perfectly manicured gardens, with chic Jonathan Adler-decorated interiors. It’s the perfect getaway destination.
There is something very nostalgic about Palm Springs. The mid-century architecture and decor always feels like I’m in a different time.
DURING MY VISIT
The pools at The Parker were the desert oasis that kept our bodies hydrated in 108° weather. When the sun went down (and took the temperates with it) we huddled around the fire-pit for s'mores.
The journey is just as important as the destination. Check out what we were listening (and shamelessly singing out loud to) on our drive from Los Angeles to Palm Springs.
Whether vacationing or simply making a pit-stop, I hope this post inspires you to embrace Palm Springs and all it has to offer.
