Henley Shirts Aren't Underwear, Anymore
Technically, henleys are underwear, but men began wearing them more as t-shirts in the ‘70s and the look is reaching new high points. These days we’re seeing them worn more and more as alternatives to v-neck and crewneck tees.
We can thank countless generations of lumberjacks and mountain men for infusing the lowly undershirt with so much rugged manliness. I’m talking sex appeal in three seconds flat–a second per button. It’s now at the point where the very sight of an unbuttoned placket is enough to make a crowd of fascinated onlookers heat up. To reap those rewards, all you have to do is have a decent arm muscle and undo a few buttons.

AND NOW, A HENLEY STYLING LESSON FROM TOM FORD
The henley’s sex appeal doesn’t have to be about unbuttoning to your sternum. When styling yours, layer one under a button-down shirt (or even another henley) then tug at the collars and hems until you get that care-free Tom Ford look you see here.
I hope this look inspires you to hang up your crewnecks and v-necks and play around with henleys.
