Ferragamo In Barcelona
Salvatore Ferragamo has a new men’s design director and he’s killing the game with his first collection. We all know the Ferragamo brand is synonymous with luxury accessory, especially footwear, bags, and belts. But don’t sleep on the apparel.
The Fall/Winter 2017 collection has impeccable suits and plenty of outerwear that ranges from topcoats to shearling bombers. This collection is all about layering, knitwear and eye-catching patterns and textures. It’s a little Seventies to be honest, as in the flared suit trousers with small cuffs, worn over loafers with chunky sweaters. I felt like a young Don Draper rocking these looks on my recent trip to Barcelona.
It’s refreshing to see Ferragamo strayed away from athleisure, which has been dominating runways and retail stores the last few seasons, and has set the tone for what the new Ferragamo men looks like; classy and laid-back with pieces that can still make heads turn on a city street.
