They look so delicious and eatable. Yum!
Available in shiny cobalt blue and black.
A little much for some…perfect for me.
Dr. Martens has done it again. They haven’t just done a superb job with their streetwear and high-end designer collaborations, they’ve also pushed the envelope with their own designs.
While we’re at it, check out this video of the new film from Dr. Martens for their Spring/Summer 2012 campaign featuring one of my favorite models, Agyness Deyn, and her beau Ash Symest. It’s all about First Love, experiences and moments.
I’m feeling extra generous this Sunday morning, so I’ve decided to give you the 1st installment of the Inside My Apt series, which will be a series of 9 photos giving you bits-n-pieces of things around my apartment. Enjoy!
Photo 1: My books and vintage lamp.
Photo 2: The bar. I’m more of a vodka person but somehow I have this big ass bottle of Bacardi rum. The Grey Goose is on the bottom shelve.
Photo 3: The chandelier above my dining table was imported from France.
Photo 4: Part of my styling closet. I organize things in labeled boxes, i.e. Earrings, Necklaces, Hair Accessories, Hosiery, etc.
Photo 5: My personal accessories drawer, organized by rings, bracelets, necklaces, tie clips, cuff links, etc. A lot of them are vintage.
Photo 6: I collect books (mostly fashion ones) so here’s a few more from my collection.
Photo 7: If you use the Hipstamatic iPhone app then you know you can order prints of your photos right from the app, so I created a small gallery in my hallway to display my favorite ones.
Photo 8: On top of my coffee table you’d find the Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, and Vogue Living books, cup coasters, and a terrarium — and sometimes a tv remote.
Photo 9: My dining table has temporarily been converted into my office-slash-blogger central.
So there you have it, the first installment of Inside My Apt. Stay tuned for Part II sometime next week. Maybe we’ll make this a Sunday ritual. Cheers!
Valentine’s Day started with a lovely story of a good girl gone dangerous, or in the words of Tory Burch, “the prim and proper lady that dates the wrong guy.” The idea of searing love affairs is at the core of the designer’s story for this collection, giving you an idea of what her protagonist would look like.
This was a very different collection from her than I have seen in the past, and probably my favorite thus far. The new Tory Burch woman is still prim and polished, but this season, she’s adopted an underline of seduction with more body-conscious silhouettes.
“It’s not just about the affair, it’s also about the places where these sort of liaisons happen”, Tory told Vogue. Brilliant!

I stopped by Saks Fifth Avenue for the unveiling of Nicholas Kirkwood’s Spring 2012 collection.
For those that have never been to Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, the store doesn’t just have an entire floor of shoes—it has an express elevator to it! The minute I heard the *ding* of the elevator and the door panels slid open, my eyes just gleamed. It was like I had died and gone to shoe heaven.
The collection was spectacular to say the least. It offers a shoe for every woman — from modern art slingbacks, to pop art kitten-heel mules. The designer was inspired by the florals and tropical brights from a trip he took to Bali.
“I came back wanting to do something more colorful and a little softer than before.”
Mr. Kirkwood himself was in attendance answering questions and signing shoes and shoe sketches for a line of well-heeled ladies sipping fine champagne.
One of my favorite shoe lines has a new collection and it’s amazing to say the least. Yummy peachy colors for the Spring, awesome cut-outs for the Summer, and height for days…. for the bitchyness of course.
You’ve seen me wear Penelope and Coco shoes on my blog. I wore their leopard oxfords on this look.
Check them out and let me know what you think of their new collection.
