It’s Friday and I haven’t posted a single ‘What I Wore’ photo [insert sad face here], but I didn’t want to end the week empty-handed so here’s ‘This Time I’ll Be Bulletproof’ and next week we’re back to our daily ‘What I Wore’ posts. Thanks for sticking around! Have a great weekend.

What I Wore

Spring Forward

Shirt: Penguin (similar to this Tommy Hilfiger shirt)

Tie clip: Vintage

Blazer: ZARA (similar to this Band of Outsiders blazer)

Pants: Levi’s (similar to these ASOS carrot pants)

Spring has finally arrived and even if you’re not the kind of guy that cares to have options, you should try to match your tie with the seasons. Pair your summery khaki and seersucker suits with cotton ties and your tweed and flannel with wool ones. Tie-makers offer a ton of options for both sides of the seasonal spectrum. Play with different patters and fabrics to add personality to your look. My favorite tie to wear is a silk knit tie like the one in this photo. It’s seasonless and always appropriate, and it adds lift to whatever I’m wearing, regardless of where I’m going.

What I Wore

Stop And Stare

Sweater: Club Monaco

Pants: Club Monaco

Necklace: Micha Design

Shoes: Vans

Ring: LUV AJ

Glasses: Tom Ford

Mustard jeans (or corduroys like the Club Monaco ones I’m wearing) are much easier to wear than you think. You can wear them with a cream sweater and boat shoes like I did here, or pair them with a white button-up shirt and a mid-grey sport coat. The combinations are endless, so a pair of mustard jeans or corduroys are an essential item in every man’s closet — they’ll work as well in the Fall as they will in the Spring. And how rad is that Micha Design necklace?
