The time when men only thought of clothing as a necessity is long gone. Wake up people, that’s so last century. We are in a new era where fashion doesn’t only relate to clothes or women for that matter. Today’s man cares about putting bread on the table just as much as he cares about how he looks when he walks out of the house. He likes to travel, surf, and even cares to give back to the planet. We owe many of these changes to male figures in the public eye that have made it okay for men to adopt this mindset and care about the luxuries of life. Relax ladies. You are still the number one priority in a man’s world.

This worldly chap is interested in first- class sojourns to far-off exotic destinations and the latest in technology. His taste for luxury is evident in the Porsche Cayman S he uses to tool around town. Attention to detail is apparent in his choice of cufflinks and the stylish way he carries his passport. This ‘What I Wore’ post is dedicated to GUESS, a brand that I have practically worn all of my life. To celebrate their three decades of success, the company brought back a pouty-lipped Claudia Schiffer to front the anniversary campaign which is a series of images based on their work with Schiffer between 1989 and 1991. In the campaign she poses coyly in sexy bustiers and bombers with the logo “30 Sexy Years” scribbled in red. Happy Birthday GUESS! Here’s to 30 more years.

Red Carpet Review
Rihanna at 2012 Met Gala
Dress: Tom Ford
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
If you want to talk sexy, then let’s not just talk Tom Ford — let’s talk black alligator Tom Ford ON Rihanna. Now that’s sexy talk. I can see how the singer drew inspiration from her “Where Have You Been” music video where she starts out as an alligator in a pond. I do wish she would’ve done something else with her hair. It looks a bit messy but not in a good way.

Don’t be afraid of a little velvet, and by little, I mean only your jacket should be velvet. The fabric is appealing in a jacket because its weight creates structure and its sheen adds a festive touch. Try colored velvet (like gray, forest green or burgundy) and anchor the look with either black trousers — or if you’re feeling bold — colored jeans and a bow tie.
