Precioso Madrid
The capital of Spain is an example of modernity — a paradise for entertainment where everything is possible.
Madrid is absolutely stunning, the people are gorgeous inside and out. Everyone is so kind and friendly to one another. The architecture is breathtaking, the (rather narrow) streets are filled with restaurants, alternative cafes and shops. The food is delicious (I couldn’t get enough paella and tapas) and the parties are absolutely out of this world.
The purpose of life is to live it and live it well. To taste every experience to the utmost, to explore newer and richer experiences eagerly and without fear, to be honorable, to be useful, to be compassionate, to connect. All of the above doesn’t happen by chance, it happens when you live with purpose.
Every day I spent in Madrid, I would walk out to the deck (overlooking the city) for a minute, stand there, in silence, look up at the sky, and contemplate how amazing life is.

DESERT STYLE with LACOSTE
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
Last week, I embarked on a road trip with Lacoste, alongside Liz (of Late Afternoon), Grant Legan and Rachel Martino, on a quest to uncover new ways to live beautifully.
We jammed to good music, wore great clothes, and did shit that I’ll never forget. Our journey to the Beautiful Lacoste Desert Pool Party unlocked the skies and gave me a peek of what’s inside. I discovered that wonderful experiences and storytelling begin when you let go completely. And let go I did.
I said yes more, I danced like nobody was watching, I cared less about technology and more about human interaction, I laughed out loud. I truly let go. I escaped—and in turn—I caught the light. I found the best way to be lost…and found…all at the same time. The road was long, full of adventure and full of knowledge. The beauty of the desert told a story of its own and unlocked a powerful lesson; to live beautifully is to understand that one’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.

How do I see things now? Well I simply face my fears with comfort, I raise the value on my friendships, I pick the roads less traveled and create my own path. I am the question and the answer, the fear and the thrill. I can take matters in my own hands and I am capable of dreaming. Everyone is capable of dreaming. Blessed are the curious, for they shall have adventures and experience life, beautifully.

"It’s an adventure, it’s a great adventure… they just want wonderful experiences, they want escapism. We wanna take them places that they’ve never been before." -M.J.

Instachella
Coachella 2014 brought the most fun I’ve had in a long time, with some of the most amazing people on the planet. Old friends, new friends, road trips, hanging out with Katy Perry and HAIM, sand storms, drinks, more drinks, good music…to say it was a perfect weekend would be an understatement.
Here is an Instarecap of Coachella Weekend 1. Can’t get enough? Many more Coachella photos on my Instagram page.
See ya next year ‘chella!

Out & About

A Toast to PSLA

Saks Fifth Avenue and Philanthropic Society Los Angeles, in partnership with DETAILS, hosted a soiree to benefit Children’s Institute, Inc. and a toast to all the amazing work behind PSLA.

It’s no secret that Saks Fifth Avenue is packed with cutting-edge fashion and high-design gear and the D-BAR, Saks’ man cave-like stand-alone lifestyle store for the fashion-conscious male, is no exception. The hyper-edited menswear concept store pairs top-of-the-line brands with some indie ones, clever design objects and macho-man beauty essentials. The denim offerings include styles by BLK DNM NYC, J Brand, Joe’s, Rag & Bone, AG, and Hudson, as well as an array of fantastic products exclusive to Saks.

The ambiance at the D-BAR was lively and fun as guests enjoyed specialty cocktails by Casamigos Tequila, hors d’oeuvres, complimentary leather bracelets with personalized engraving, shoe shines, and tunes by DJ Michelle Pesce.
