The Element Emerald Collection

Last week I attended the introduction of The Element Emerald Collection — a premium quality men’s lifestyle line that incorporates environmentally friendly materials.

The event was hosted by the Ron Robinson boutique at Fred Segal on Melrose Ave. The event also showcased a live acoustic performance by Ray Barbee, a premium scotch tasting, and art by Thomas Campbell, Brian Gaberman and Danny Hess.

Fashion that makes a difference.

Easter Sunday

Yesterday my friends and I celebrated Easter in the most of traditional ways and it was a blast. The afternoon in Santa Monica was filled with mimosas, a DIY station to decorate your lemonade cup, egg hunt, piñata beating, lots of food, etc.

It felt so good to be amongst all my friends and catching up with everyone. Here’s a few pictures to recap the day.

2012 NewNowNext Awards

The 2012 NewNowNext Awards were a blast and Kelly Osbourne did a fantastic job hosting the ceremony. Of course it wouldn’t be a Logo award show without some major drag queen appearances from everyone’s favorite past and present contestants of RuPaul’s Drag Race, so check out all the action from the red carpet, the award ceremony and the after party.

Wait hot a damn minute. It’s the man of the hour Josh Hutcherson of The Hunger Games!

One of tonight’s performers Adam Lambert who lost some weight and looks quite handsome.

Shirtless Perez Hilton. Check out those abs. I’m proud of your commitment my friend.

Blue Bottle Coffee

When I was shopping and filming for AzaleaTV in San Francisco last week, I was recommended a coffee kiosk located on the (rather contemporary) alley behind the boutique in Hayes Valley. In comes Blue Bottle Coffee. A roastery founded by a slightly disaffected freelance musician and coffee lunatic with a miniscule six-pound batch roaster. Their coffee is so freaking good! — and that’s because they only sell coffee less than 48 hours out of the roaster and use the finest organic, shade-grown and pesticide-free beans so that customers enjoy coffee at its peak of flavor. I had gone to heaven.

I ordered my usual, a macchiato, and after taking a few seconds to decide, a ginger molasses cookie accompanied it.

Thanks to the enthusiastic support of loyal customers, Blue Bottle Coffee has grown to a small network of cafes, wholesale partners, and espresso carts in San Francisco and New York — all still united by the simple purpose of getting great coffee to everyone who asks for it.

Visit bluebottlecoffee.net where you can find out more about Blue Bottle Coffee, their locations, and how you can book a tour of their Oakland Roastery and private tastings.

EXPOSED: Restoration Hardware

Last night, celebrities, socialites, stylists and designers came together to celebrate the launch of Restoration Hardware’s Spring 2012 Collection. Co-hosts Malin Akerman, Elizabeth Banks, Abbie Cornish and Milla Jovovich mingled with guests who sipped on refreshing bellinis (I had at least 3) and caught up with Chairman and Co-CEO Gary Friedman. Additional guests included WhoWhatWear Co-Founders Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power, Keisha Whitaker, Autumn Reeser, and more. New York singer/songwriter due The Pierces performed to an enthusiastic and influential crowd. The private event benefited The Prints and Drawing Council (PDC) of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

‘Vital Voices’ hosted by DVF

Last night Diane von Furstenberg and C Magazine hosted an evening of inspiration and empowerment in support of Vital Voices — an organization who’s mission is to identify and bring forth the extraordinary women around the world and invest in accelerating peace and prosperity in their communities.

Diane is (and has been for years) a global voice of empowerment for women. She’s one of the most respected names in fashion and she’s used that power to spread her firm belief in the inherent strength of every woman, and while her fashions are drool-worthy, this spirit right here is what makes Diane more than a designer. It makes her a superwoman.

The night was filled with champagne, hors d’oeuvres (OMG they had French macaroons - Yum!), inspirational speeches, and an amazing performance by one of my favorite bands, A Fine Frenzy. Singer Alison Sudol, wearing DVF, serenaded us with her amazing vocal performance and told us a little about her new record coming out this Fall. Click Here to see a short video of their performance last night.
