Red Carpet Review
Rihanna at 2012 Met Gala
Dress: Tom Ford
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
If you want to talk sexy, then let’s not just talk Tom Ford — let’s talk black alligator Tom Ford ON Rihanna. Now that’s sexy talk. I can see how the singer drew inspiration from her “Where Have You Been” music video where she starts out as an alligator in a pond. I do wish she would’ve done something else with her hair. It looks a bit messy but not in a good way.

Julianne Hough at 2012 Met Gala
Dress: Carolina Herrera
Shoes: Jimmy Choo
Bag: Christian Louboutin
Jewelry: Jacob & Co.
I think Julianne did a great job with her rendition of a human Barbee. And no, that’s not a typo. Barbee is the cheap-dollar-store-not-quite-as-fabulous-as-Barbie doll. [Ryan’s voice] Dim the lights, here we go. Congratulations Julianne, you’ve earned a spot on the Worst Dressed list.
PS: Ok so I’m not going to lie, a small part of me likes to do these red carpet fashion reviews because I get to be a little mean and not get sh*t for it.

Michelle Williams at 2012 Oscars
Dress: Louis Vuitton
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Bag: Bottega Veneta
Jewelry: Forevermark and Fred Leighton
Finally! Seriously, I’ve been waiting for Michelle to have a red carpet moment and she saved the best for last. This is her red carpet moment. She looks so stunning. This look could easily become an iconic look for Michelle — my first Best Dressed of the night.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz at 2012 Grammys
Alicia’s dress: Alexandre Vauthier
Alicia’s shoes: Christian Louboutin
I really like this sort-of futuristic look on Alicia. Back when she came out, she had a defined style with all the denim and the braids and all that — but now she sort of goes with the flow of whatever she’s in the mood for at the moment. It’s not the most memorable look, but she looks rad. The funniest thing I heard on Twitter about Alicia’s look is that she and Bruno Mars shared a hairstylist.
As for Swizz Beatz, I am head-over-heels in love with that velvet tuxedo jacket and bow tie. I need them in my closet!

Rihanna at 2012 Grammys
Dress: Giorgio Armani
Jewelry: Neil Lane
Body necklaces: Jacquie Aiche
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Clutch: Jimmy Choo
The Barbadian singer was serving demure bombshell in this custom Armani dress. This is no typical LBD (Little Black Dress) — the gold accessories it was paired with were the perfect match. I love the soft makeup with the muted lip and the thick eyeliner. The look doesn’t scream sex, it whispers it. Without a doubt one of my favorites on the red carpet tonight.

Katy Perry at 2012 Grammys
Dress: Elie Saab
Jewelry: Norman Silverman ($2 million worth of diamonds)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Looking at them side-by-side, this dress is like the conservative little sister of Fergie’s sexy Jean Paul Gaultier gown. The dress itself is pretty, but somehow better suited for Meryl Streep. I prefer Katy in her wild koo-koo outfits. This look was a bit disappointing.
