Lucky Charms
The brooch I’m wearing in these photos holds more than a bunch of charms — it holds a heavy sentimental value. It was a gift from one of my best friends, jewelry designer Micha Design. She personalized this gift with multiple charms that represent something about me. Obviously the button and scissors are symbols of what I do in fashion, the masquerade mask represents my many personalities (all good ones I promise), the broken clock is a reminder of my constant complaints about there only being 24 hours in a day, the coffee cup (ahm, duh!), there is also a plate that says “dream” because, well, I’m a dreamer and finally, the key holding all the charms represents Alicia Keys, my musical idol. How charm-ing is that? I’ve had this brooch for about 3 years now and I intend on holding on to it for the rest of my life.
